Friday August 10 to Tuesday August 14 Tenterfield Walks and birding watching on the last day.
Tenterfield in winter. What could be better than to bunk down in a cosy cabin and have happy hour in the camp kitchen and then head off in the cool of the morning to some great walking in the National Parks nearby. Three days of walks generally grade 3 with some on granite slopes and others following babbling mountain streams or joining the local fauna for a look around the quiet forest and open grasslands. We will be doing some of the iconic walks in the Parks and others that are out of the way and little visited. Option of a 1 day cycle led by Winston and Heike.
For the bird watchers we have scouted out some to the secret locations known to the locals for off the beaten path bird watching to get a sights of Turquoise Parrots, Speckled Warblers, Plum Headed Fiches etc
