Three days notice must be given to the Leader if you want to participate in any of the walks
On each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday a club cycling event is held. For further details see the Cycling Page
Tuesday December 4 Kingscliff to Fingal Social Cycle
From the carpark on Marine Parade at the northern end of Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club we will cycle along the beach front and down Wommin Bay Rd to the path next to the Tweed River. Coffee stop in Fingal at the Sheoak Shack cafe before continuing to the headland (where we need to lock our bikes) to take a stroll to the lighthouse and admire the view and our own (elves) Giant Causeway. We will return by the same route and have the option to enjoy chatting over lunch at the Bowls Club. Total distance 15kms ... on cycleways and flat too! As the return is via the same route, you can start & finish at any point for a shorter option, or if really keen you can start at Pottsville for a 60 km round trip (but the leader won’t join you!) 2-9 December Support drivers and Hikers needed for Save Kosci protest against feral horses
We plan to walk from the Cobberas Wilderness Area, which is full of feral horses. Starting just south of the NSW border, climbing over Mt Cobberas 1&2 ( 1800m ), camping on Cowombat flat, up the Alpine Trail after summiting The Pilot ( 1800m ), camping at Tin Mine Huts, then The Cascades, meeting others at Dead Horse Gap and then joining the main protest group on December 9th at the summit of Kosci. Grade 4.
Support drivers will have a good time driving our vehicles back from the start of our hike, as the Barry Way between Jindabyne and Suggan Buggan descends into an amazing gorge formed by the Snowy River. The gravel road runs alongside the River in places. Camping with the hikers at Native Dog Flat will also be a highlight, before returning to join the last few days of the main 35 day walk from Sydney.

Sunday December 16 Christmas Party Crams Farm Dairy Clarrie Hall Dam
Crams Farm is a stunningly beautiful venue and we will have a great day. The Dairy will be available to us exclusively all day so we will have plenty of time to walk, bird watch and kayak. This year we are asking participants to bring a Christmas decoration, the bigger the better, as the object of the exercise is to “Deck the Dairy”. Catering will be as usual, i.e. bring a salad or dessert to share. BYO drinks and meat if required (there are bbqs). If you have a Christmas tablecloth you can bring, that would be great.
Please contact Lou to book in and arrange your food contribution for the Xmas Party
Our kayaking members will be bringing kayaks to Clarrie Hall Dam as part of the club's Christmas festivities.
Members wishing to participate in a paddle at this stunning venue should meet at 9:30 for a 10 am start. This paddle will last for about 2 hours. Further details TBA. Leaders Winston & Heike. Text 0414-997722
