Monday January 1 "Reclaim Byron Cycle" Morning Ride Breakfast for All Members
We will meet at the Byron Sports Ground Car Park at 7.30 am and cycle in to The Pass on the cycle way for a special New Year's morning breakfast. Then a swim will be a great idea and a getaway before Byron wakes up. Your swimming gear will be available at the Pass. Naturally all non cycling members can join in. A Lighthouse walk followed by breakfast at The Pass is a great start to the year. You must register by Dec 30 in order to have a seat reserved for you at the cafe. Leader Ian 0459496194
Monday January 1 “Reclaim Byron” Early Morning Lighthouse Walk
Meet at Captain Cook Car park at 6.45 am . Breakfast will be at the Pass Cafe at 8 am. Please register by Dec 30 with Ian as bookings have to be made for breakfast. Thursday January 4 Kayaking Tallow Creek, Byron Bay
Start the New Year with a relaxing paddle along Tallow Creek and have fun exploring this beautiful waterway as the narrow creek becomes a lagoon which then twists and turns before reaching the ocean at Tallow Beach. The mouth of Tallow Creek intermittently opens as this lake is an Intermittently Closed or Open Lake or Lagoon (ICOLL). Distance: 7km, Grade: Easy, Leader: email@example.com 0410 663 566
Saturday January 20 Cycling Breakfast at Evans Head
An early morning 2 hour cycle around Evans Head that will include around 3 km of unsealed road before breakfast. A swim will be on offer after. Just happens to be Ken’s birthday.

Sunday January 21 Late Afternoon Walk Arakwal National Park, Byron Bay.
The walk will take us through a selection of tracks through paperbark and honeysuckle country, the camp site of the Arakwal Elders childhood, the Tallow Creek estuary and along Tallow Beach. We will enjoy 360 degree views on Paterson Hill and continue through the endangered wallum clay heathland with Cibum Margil Swamp below us. Grade 1 about 7 km and will take just 2 to 3 hours.
