Sunday November 18 to Saturday December 1 Victorian Alps FULLY BOOKED
This trip consists of 4 nights at Bright and Dinner Plain; 3 nights at Bogong Village and 2 nights at Mt Buller. This is a guide to walks - walking distances approximate. Program may vary according to weather conditions.
Sunday Meet Melbourne airport 12 noon > car hire pick up > drive to Bright.
Monday Bright Canyon Loop 4km; Apex Walk 3kms or Wandi Walk including The Diggings 13km
OR CYCLE - Hire bikes (organise yourself) for Murray to Mountains rail trail 80km or part thereof.
Tuesday – Mt Buffalo Day trip to Mt Buffalo The Horn 1.5km; Cathedral and the Hump 2km; Gorge Heritage walk 2.5km; Eurobin falls 1.5km etc
Wednesday – Beechworth historical town walk and nearby sites; free time to explore township and area.
Thursday Transfer to Dinner Plain. Afternoon short walks Room with a View 3km return; and/or Dead Timber Hill 4km return
Friday - Dinner Plain Cobungra Ditch walk - one way 12.5 km or circuit via Brabralung Trail 17km total
Saturday - Dinner Plain Montane Walking Track (circuit) 8.1kms with extensions to Precipice Lookout 3.8km and Carmichael Falls lookout 2km – approx. 14km total
Sunday Dinner Plain Mt Feathertop via Razorback – 22km return. Can shorten by not doing summit.
Monday Transfer to Bogong Village. Lake Guy circuit walk 3kms and/or short walks at Mount Beauty 3-5 km
Tuesday – Falls Creek Walk Mt Nelse 9km return; or Healthy Spur Circuit 10kms; or combination of walks
Wednesday - Falls Creek Wallace Hut & Cope Hut Heritage Trail 6km; then Mt Cope Summit 3km return.
Thursday Transfer to Mt Buller. Visit Howqua Historic area and along river.
Friday – Mt Buller Mt Stirling circuit – 5 hours
Saturday Return to Melbourne airport.
