Sunday May 24 Christies Creek, Mooball NP Short notice walk

Christies Creek is in a lovely rainforest valley nestled in the sclerophyll hills of the Burringbar Range. We park off Cooradilla Road at the start of Baranbali Road. We walk east and go up and over Burringbar Trig down a scrambly slope back on the fire trail. Or we can just follow the fire trail and then branch off north on a ridge that descends to Christies Creek. We rockhop up the very pretty creek, heading south-westerly. Lunch by a sparkling pool. Scramble up out of the valley to Cooradilla Road then back to the cars. There is a possibility of getting your boots wet if you slip on the rocks. Distance 11km, Grade 3, Map Burringbar, Group limit 10 members

Sunday 31 May Ocean Kayak from Broken Head to the Three Sisters

An ocean kayak trip from Broken Head out to the Three Sisters, and depending on participants' enthusiasm, down the coast to Bray's or White's beach. If the forecasts are accurate, the swell and wind will be as calm as it gets at Broken Head, so an ideal chance to try ocean kayaking. The scenery along the coast is spectacular, and the water is still warm. James has a PLB, and Peter W has a VHF radio, so emergency comms is covered. Suggested meeting time at the Broken Head boat ramp at 09:30 (but open to other suggested times).

Life jacket is essential, and no fishing gear allowed. Bring a drink and a snack. Limit 10 members.
